The charente is so fecund at this time of year - everything grows super fast. I seem to spend all my tim mowing (when i'm not enlisting the eager help of our skudde sheep to keep the grass down.)
The roses are blooming and all the flower seeds i planted are coming up - beautiful whites, yellows, oranges, blues, and purples.
The strawberries will be ready in about 2 weeks and we have figs, cherries, pears, apples and the odd peach growing in our orchard. I need to get to the cherries before the birds though - last year they had the lot!
Thyme and rosemary are now planted and we even have some coriander (which i find hard to grow) - basil has gone though. I'm not sure.
Best of all - it's frog time. so we have a wonderous choir of frogs singing in our pond everyday and night. Could it be the new frogniture we put in?
The lily pads are growing slowly so soon they will have 'frog sofas' floating in the pond ready to relax in the summer sun.
