It's always sad when we lose an animal. They bring such life and colour to our chambres d'hotes here in the Charente and Dordogne.
Earlier in the year Billy our ram went to sleep after the problem with his legs got worse and now we have had to let Gingerman our super feisty cockerel go too.
He has been with us 3 years after living with a previous owner and was probably coming to the end of his life. He was getting increasingly violent as older cocks do and it was time for him to sleep too.
Fortunately he has done his duty and we now have 3 beautiful new chicks which we have penned in with their mum.
Sooooo cute - now waiting see how many more we get
