Montaurand Private Suite
The private suite sleeps 2 in a spacious master bedroom with king size antique bed
with views over the gardens and the home of Cedric our Rooster.

A light, airy room with lots of space decorated with Swedish antique pieces & French Brocante finds with plenty of storage space available.
The ensuite bathroom has both a bath and freestanding shower
with a view over the fields and forest so you can watch our rare Skudde sheep ambling by.
​
You also have a petit salon 2nd bedroom with a single bed for a 3rd guest,
complete with antique sofas, armchairs and refreshments.

The private suite has its own entrance
and acts as a self contained suite within the house.

Prices:
200E per night inc local sourced gourmet breakfast for the Private Suite
sleeping 2 with a 2 night minimum stay for booking.

+100E for the petit salon bedroom if you have a 3rd guest.
​
We can also make extra single beds available by prior arrangement
if you need to book for 4 people -

A delicious French breakfast of locally sourced produce & our own organic eggs is provided for you each day between 800am-10am. Do tell us if you have any special dietary requirements

Grounds
Montaurand is set in serene leafy grounds amongst beautiful old trees , next to our sheep fields and the chestnut forests of the Charente
Travel
Bordeaux and Limoges are the nearest airports and we are only 25 minutes from the mainline TGV station at Angouleme which runs to Paris and Bordeaux.
We are a great stopping off point for journeys to the South of France near the main autoroutes & only 15 miles from Chateau de la Couronne if you are attending a wedding.

Montaurand is the ideal place to use as a base to explore the Brocante markets of the Charente and the Dordogne. We can tell you where to go and even organise a paid Brocante guide if you want one.

We are only 20km from Angouleme and not far from the beautiful towns of Brantome, Riberac , Aubeterre, Piegut, Perigaud and much more
Wine Tours
The wine regions of Cognac and Bordeaux are a short drive away with many vineyards offering wine tasting tours

Enjoy france in the Autumn and Winter, sitting by log fires and revelling in the nature - we are open all year round
